The majority of the waste produced around the world is still disposed of by burning. We must - and can - find another way to process our waste, not just from an ecological and economical perspective, but also because it is required by European regulations. Renasci® is therefore proud to introduce Smart Chain Processing®, a revolutionary new method for converting waste into energy and raw materials, without any residual waste.

 

Our process recovers 78% of the energy and results in 100% reusable raw materials
and immediately usable products, such as EN590 diesel and biocoal. Plus, the entire process is energy-independent. We get all of the energy we need from the waste itself. This is a major step forward from a linear to a circular economy.

Automated processing

Smart Chain Processing (SCP®) is a modular processing system in which the waste is first separated automatically. The separate waste flows are then converted into energy and usable materials by means of innovative technologies.

EU WASTE DIRECTIVE

By 2020, all EU countries must re-use at least 50% of their waste.

Starting in 2025, waste dumping will be prohibited, and by 2030, 65% to 75% of the waste must be reused or recycled, depending on the type of waste.

SMART CHAIN PROCESSING®

Smart Chain Processing® is an innovative process by which we recover the maximum of energy and raw materials from waste products.

PLASTICS

Plastics are separated into recyclable and non-recyclable flows. The non-recyclable plastics are then converted into various petrochemical raw materials using the patented P2F* technology.

BIOMASS

We process biomass in a number of steps. First, the biomass is converted into biocoal through hydrothermal carbonisation (HTC). In a later stage of the process, we produce a second-generation bioethanol, isobutanol and GTBE.

ENERGY

Smart Chain Processing® is energy-independent. All of the energy needed for the process is generated by means of internal processes.

WATER

We purify the water used in the process and re-use it in the process cycle. That means the closed circuit generates no waste water.
